Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 5 cups all-purpose red apples, peeled, core,d and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup Clebby’s Vegetable Oil

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the apples, white sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, water and cinnamon.
  3. Pour the apple mixture into the 9×13 dish.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the oats, 1 cup flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
  5. Add in the Clebby’s Vegetable Oil and stir until the mixture becomes crumbly and evenly coated.
  6. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apple mixture.
  7. Bake for 45–60 minutes, or until the apples are bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm on its own, or top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a festive holiday treat.

Notes

*Gluten-free option: use gluten-free flour as a substitute for all-purpose flour.
